Last month Alex and I booked our wedding venue. aka IT’S REALLY HAPPENING PEOPLE!! We got engaged in May, but it took us a bit of time to sort out what we both envisioned and wanted for our wedding. We found a venue that we both love and I couldn’t be more excited to start…

formerly EatFlowLive, now ConsciouslyJules 🙋🏼‍♀️⠀ ⠀ made the name change a bit back but thought i should explain the reasoning. i started on this platform as eatflowlive, and while i’ve spoken about how much has changed for me since then, i felt the change itself needed a bit more recognition. ⠀ ⠀ while there will still be some yoga on here (always ☺️) i aim to have these little squares be a place to inform, share, and inspire you all to live a healthier life for your mind, body, and planet. i believe they are all intricately connected & that through small changes in each of these areas, you can have big impact on your overall health & happiness and a smaller impact on your earth 🌍 ⠀ ⠀ one thing that hasn’t changed a bit since eatflowlive is that connecting w others through this platform is really what keeps me here. soooo, tell me something about you 👇🏼! what are you passionate about? what’s a goal your working towards? where’s one place in the world you’re dying to visit?⠀ ⠀ xx
3 weeks left in this DECADE. how will you be spending it? ⠀ ⠀ this year felt like it FLEW by. but when I think back to last January, so much has happened and a lot has changed. ⠀ ⠀ often I feel I am so focused on the future, on moving forward, on goal setting, that I forget to pause and not only be present, but reflect back on how far I’ve come, on everything that I’ve already accomplished. ⠀ ⠀ so for these final 3 weeks of the decade I am making a point to not only be more present, but to reflect back on the accomplishments, lessons learned, and memories made from this year.⠀ ⠀ how will you be spending these last 3 weeks?
**reduced** plastic shopping⠀ ⠀ going plastic free is not an overnight change by any means, nor does it have to be! by making small changes I have been able to reduce the amount of plastic in my weekly grocery shops. ⠀ ⠀ two key swaps for me were:⠀ ⠀ 1) organic cotton produce bags ⠀ 2) reusable cotton bags for bulk foods⠀ ⠀ the majority of my groceries are fruits, veggies, and nuts, so this cut down A LOT on the plastic I was using each week. as you can clearly see though, my cart is NOT perfect. tofu and tempeh are both only available in plastic and frequently the store only has cauliflower available wrapped in plastic 🥴⠀ ⠀ progress over perfection ALWAYS friends. ⠀ you don’t need to go 100% plastic free, you just need to start making incremental changes to use less. ⠀ ⠀ also, seeking tempeh not wrapped in plastic, please let me know if you find 😇🌍⠀ ⠀ ⠀ linking the produce bags i use in stories!
day off work = time spent outside ⠀ ⠀ after an extremely busy week at work, a morning spent outside just what my mind & body needed. i was lucky (& early 🌞) enough to be one of the few people at Torrey Pines this morning. the trails were blissfully quiet and peaceful, leaving me to my thoughts and to soak in nature. feeling grounded & grateful. ⠀ ⠀ happy friday friends, wishing you all a bit of the calm & peace i received this morning xx⠀ 🌍♥️
a year ago, my yoga practice was probably the strongest it has ever been. ⠀ ⠀ now, it is sporadic at best. ⠀ ⠀ it’s easy to get down on myself for this, for letting my practice go, for losing strength and flexibility, for not being a true “yogi”. but the shift in my practice reflects a necessary shift in my life. ⠀ ⠀ a year ago i was also extremely stressed out and way over committed in my time and energies. i had just gotten a new job, was teaching yoga multiple times a week, getting my health coaching certification, & committed to getting my own yoga practice in daily. since then I have slowly pared down my commitments to create a clean slate from which to rebuild.⠀ ⠀ it’s exciting to think about where I want to direct my energy and where I want to direct my life. i say all this because it’s ok for your practice to ebb and flow. it’s ok for your life to ebb and flow. taking a step back can often provide the grounding and clarity that you need in order to move forward again. ⠀ ⠀ xx
feeling less than optimal health today so i cancelled the spin class i had planned and opted for a slow walk in the sunshine instead 🌞i luckily have today off of work so the rest of my day will consist of coffee, cuddles w Lila, and couch time ☺️ ⠀ ⠀ ps. planning a new blog post, see stories to lmk what you wanna read 🤓♥️⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
