a bit about me:

I was born and raised in Upstate New York, lived in Boston for a few years, then decided I had had enough of winter and picked up everything and moved to sunny San Diego. I live with my boyfriend Alex, and my two kittens, Han and Lila. I am a peanut butter addict and eat it by the spoonful, love to be outside in nature, and have a passion for travel.

my yoga journey:

I have always thrived off of being active and love to get some movement in every day, whether that is a long walk, spin class, or getting on my yoga mat. My yoga practice can be traced back to a very young age (thanks mom!) but weaved in and out of my life until I was in graduate school. I was overwhelmed and overworked – yoga was an outlet, helping me to release stress and ground myself. I was hooked and began to practice more consistently, loving how I felt physically and mentally after time on my mat.

I felt called to enroll in teacher training, both to deepen my personal practice and to prepare myself to teach. When I moved to San Diego,  I took the leap and signed up for my YTT.  I am still amazed and humbled every day by the practice. Each day is another step along my yoga path, both as teacher and student.

I now hold my 200hr certification and trained in both vinyasa and yin styles of yoga. Yoga, for me, is a way of being in the world, a lifestyle, a perspective, a choice.
