i am so glad you’re here
a bit about me:
I was born and raised in Upstate New York, lived in Boston for a few years, then decided I had had enough of winter and picked up everything and moved to sunny San Diego. I live with my fiance Alex, and my two kittens, Han and Lila. I am a peanut butter addict and eat it by the spoonful, love to be outside in nature, and have a passion for travel. By day I work as an environmental planner in the climate field, striving to help our society be a little more sustainable, and a little more in sync with our natural earth. On the side, I am a certified holistic health coach, yoga teacher, plant based eater, and wannabe minimalist.
consciously jules (formerly EatFlowLive) is my place to share my journey with you. I hope to inspire you to take better care of your mind, body, and planet. These three are so interwoven and central to everything in my life. I thoroughly believe we cannot truly address one without the other. For example, the food we eat has a history and an impact on our planet (what was it grown with? how was it grown? how did it get to your plate?), your body (are you sensitive to it? does it nourish you? does it support your daily activity?), and your mind (why are you choosing the food you are? how does it make you feel? how do you feel about your body?).
