Hi friends! Welcome 🙂 I’m Julia and this is my yoga journey.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Upstate New York but recently picked up everything and moved to sunny San Diego. The move was in many ways both one of the hardest and greatest choices I have made.

I have always thrived off of being active, in whatever form that took: running, crew, spin, barre, yoga, etc. Yoga has long been a part of my fitness routine, but in more of a side dish than a main entrée kind of way. My practice can be traced back to a very young age (thanks mom!) but weaved in and out of my life until I was in graduate school. I was overwhelmed and overworked – yoga was an outlet, helping me to release stress and ground myself.

From there on out, I began to practice more consistently and became hooked on how I felt physically and mentally after time on my mat. I knew I wanted to enroll in teacher training, both to deepen my personal practice and to prepare myself to teach. When I moved to San Diego, the timing was right; I took the leap and signed up for my YTT.  I am still amazed and humbled every day by the practice.

Yoga, for me, is a way of being in the world, a lifestyle, a perspective, a choice. Each day is another step along my yoga path, both as teacher and student. Eat Flow Live is my place to share this journey with you.
